Questions families ask us
Still unsure about something? Talk to a coordinator — no script, no sales pressure.
How quickly can care start at home?
Call or send an enquiry and a care coordinator gets back to you within 30 minutes. For attendants and nurses, care can often start the same day or the next. ICU setups need the equipment delivered and installed first, which is usually done within a day.
What is the difference between a GDA and a nurse?
A GDA (General Duty Assistant) helps with physical, non-clinical care — bathing, feeding, toileting, moving and turning the patient. A nurse is a qualified GNM or ANM who can also do clinical work such as injections, IV lines, wound dressing, catheter and tube care. Many families start with an attendant and add nursing visits only when a procedure is due.
Are your caregivers verified?
Yes. Every caregiver's identity, address and police verification are checked, along with their qualifications and past work references, before they are placed with a family. You can ask your coordinator for the caregiver's profile before they arrive.
What if we are not comfortable with the caregiver?
Tell your coordinator. It happens sometimes — a language mismatch, a personality clash, or a patient who needs someone more experienced — and we arrange a replacement.
Do you deliver and install medical equipment?
Yes. Equipment is delivered, installed and demonstrated to the family. For beds, oxygen concentrators and ICU setups, the technician stays until the family is comfortable using it.
